members of the New England Percussion Ensemble have extensive teaching
experience. Our major strength is to be able to communicate with our
audiences, and teach them using methods and language which they understand
and are eager to receive.

Bob performed throughout the United States with the U.S. Air
Force bands, first stationed with the Strategic Air Command
Band at Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, Nebraska.

He then spent a tour of duty, appearing occasionally as soloist, with the Alaskan Air Command Band at
Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska.

He received
an honorable discharge at the final grade of Staff
Sergeant.

He has been a free-lance drummer and percussionist in the area for nearly thirty years, performing
music of all styles from classical orchestra to jazz, shows and pop. He began school
performances through his membership in the Rhode Island Philharmonic Percussion Ensemble, became
co-founder of the New England Percussion Ensemble in 1992, and leader in 1994.

Bob lives in Raynham, MA with his wife, Mary
Ellen. He enjoys outdoor activities which put him in
touch with nature – definitely a
carry-over from his experiences in Alaska. He is also the inventor, patent
holder and manufacturer of the Rattler®, a percussion
accessory device currently marketed world-wide by the
Pro-Mark

Bill’s free lance activity has encompassed a wide
range of
performance settings – from symphony orchestras to
dance accompaniment. He has performed and recorded
with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Berkshire
Opera Company and the Catskill Klezmorim.

Bill and his wife, Alyssa, live in
Medfield, MA. His
sunny day favorites are hiking, gardening, biking and
skiing; and rainy days will find him visiting Boston’s
museums.

In circles of professional musicians Ed is well known
as a top
notch “G.B.” (general business) drummer, something
which requires him to wear a variety of musical hats and
provide solid percussion for many of the area’s best jazz,
rock, dixie and show bands. He is also a percussion
instructor, department head and program director at the South Shore Conservatory in Hingham,
MA.

Sal is extremely “in demand” as a free-lancer in
the central
Connecticut area performing with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, and playing shows at the Goodspeed Opera
House in East Haddam and the Oakdale Musical Theater
in Wallingford. He also toured Europe with the musical, “Evita.”

He lives in Wethersfield with his wife, Siobhan, and their two
children. Sal enjoys preparing meals the kitchen with his wife, and he
is also a classic movie buff.

Steve’s percussion skills are frequently heard in south /
central
Connecticut through his performances with symphony
orchestras in New Haven, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Norwalk
and New Britain. He also plays shows at the Goodspeed Opera House, and with his wife formed the Collins Project
Flute and Percussion Duo. Steve also toured Europe with
the Broadway cast of “Evita.”

He lives in Trumbull
with his wife, Kim, an excellent flutist.
Aside from some creative work on his house and property,
Steve also enjoys horseback riding and fishing.

free-lance jazz drummer in the Boston area.

small children. He is an avid golfer and says, “Yep, I can
duff with the best of them.”

Rich’s talents allow him to move back and forth with ease

the Royal Sonesta Jazz Series; and in classical percussion
he has appeared with the English Chamber Orchestra and
the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, Spain.

Rich lives in
Arlington, MA with his wife, Mireia, and their two
children. Gourmet cooking and dining is a passion, but he
also enjoys spending quality time with his family. Rich is
fluent in Spanish and Catalan, the northern dialect of
Barcelona.

his non-musical interests include biking, anthropology, weight-lifting, golf and racquetball.
